Actual Diary Examples

One tool that helps me learn about my unconscious patterns is to keep a lifestyle journal.  I KEEP A JOURNAL of insights gained, affirmations, activity patterns, of food experiences and food consumption.

I note when I have failed to follow my food program, and when I do well!  I jot down WHAT I learned. I don't have to keep it all of the time—only when I feel compulsive, confused, and thankful! I have kept many kinds and different formats. I also use a computer nutrition analysis software program (  www.DietPower.com ) to evaluate the nutritional adequacy of my eating patterns. It's a fun and easy-to-use program for only $50 and you can try it out for 15 days for free!

A journal is not just keeping foods but also noting emotions, aspirations, thoughts, prayers, insights, and possible strategies. I like to use color! Check out also: Bob's Story, Begin? How? and May I Say YES to My Wild and Precious Life!
